Our EMI Thunder Exhaust system has been modified to work on the new 496 MAG and 425 MAG HO Mercruiser 496 engines. We found that these engines need a good exhaust system like EMI Thunder. On most applications our manifolds increased horsepower and torque by a minimum of ten percent on both the 375HP MAG and on the 425HP MAG HO. We are proud to offer a complete kit with specific mounting locations for oil filter and power steering brackets and exhaust temperature sensor as well as new oil lines to make your installation as simple as possible. Our system does not require remote installation of any part, everything stays on the engine. However, some minor modifications to the existing relay bracket is required. The EMI Thunder exhaust system is a direct replacement for most stock Mercruiser 496 applications ( if you have existing exhaust outlets, please check our dimensions to determine the correct fit before ordering! We are not responsible for exhaust systems that do not match up to existing holes in your boat's transom). NOTE: Engines using larger than stock, aftermarket camshafts may require a dry tailpipe system to prevent reversion. Provide us with your camshaft's lope separation angle and duration at .050" before choosing an exhaust system! These longer risers WILL NOT work with Selector systems or stock "S" pipe connections.
